What Is The Difference Between A Quick And Scheduled Appointment?

A Quick Appointment allows you to book blood and specimen collection with the next available Laboratory Technician in your service area. Quick appointments can be booked and completed in as little as one hour and are suitable for individuals who, for example, require immediate or urgent testing. You will be given an estimated time of arrival that takes into account your Laboratory Technician’s total distance and driving time to your location.

A Scheduled Appointment allows you to book with a Laboratory Technician on a specific date and time that is most convenient for you or your loved ones. Scheduled appointments can be booked for next day, next week, or weeks ahead and are suitable for individuals who, for example, requiring recurring blood work (standing orders).

Can More Than One Person Have A Sample Collected In A Single Appointment?

Yes. Group collections may be scheduled at the time of booking if more than one person wishes to have blood or specimens collected at the same location (for example, family members, residents of an assisted living or seniors’ facility). Groups of two or more will enjoy a 15% discount on their service charge. Please note all group members must have a valid and legible requisition.
